Is this it?
Sue me, I keep forgetting I belong to this group and feel like I don’t chime in enough.
I notice how it’s filled w/pretty empowerment pictures & “inspirational” quotes but no substance of the actual lives we live. Quotes are great, pictures are even greater, but it’s relatable text that makes me ooze so fucking hard in excitement that I’m not alone more...

California wine country - suggestions?
I am so excited for my trip to Napa/Sonoma next week, I can barely concentrate on anything else.
I have never been to California wine country and plans have not really been set, so if anyone has any suggestions on wineries to visit, attractions to see, restaurants to eat at, please comment or feel free to e-mail me.
I wish life came with an instruction manual, it’d make all these awkward moments a hell of a lot easier to accomplish.
Until then, I’ll settle for my Charlie Brown inspired slogan of “Good grief” when something fails versus my standard “Oh great, fuck me.”

The Battle of the Great Bullshitters
A friend of mine, and I were having a discussion about my personality. Besides being called a sociopath and a bitch, he made a very valid point. He said, “You have the type of personality that makes or breaks a person in the journalism industry, you have to have a tough shell.”

blogtastic
i work at a small nature center in pa and am starting a blog to be linked to our main website (which i think is lacking). my goals for the blog are to provide our members and other visitors with more updated information, have educators write reviews of summer camp weeks or the adult day trips (with photos!) so that other members can read about great local places we visit, or how much fun the group...

Inflammatory Breast Disease →
Inflammatory Breast Disease is the most deadly type of breast cancer and cannot be detected by mammograms. This is not meant to scare you; it is meant to educate you as to what to look for. Education is power. Pass this on to your family and friends. Most important is to notice any changes in your breasts and have them checked out.

NY Clothing Swap… or Swish
Futerra will be hosting a clothing swap party (aka Swishing) on July 10th, and they’re extending the invite to everyone.
Swishing was started by Futerra in London, and it has been such a big success that they want to bring it to NYC. Swishing is essentially a clothing swap party, where you bring clothing you no longer need and you get a free pass to snag...

sometimes i run into a grouchy day (like today)…and who doesn’t? but i stopped and reviewed my life for a second. i’m healthy, i’m employed, i have fun neighbors and great friends. sure, i haven’t met everything i am seeking in life, but i’m not supposed to yet. i’m still a young adult and there is much more time to be lived. i thought about people who...
Is this sexist or part of the job?
This story is featured on Jezebel.com today:
“Have you heard about the case of Tamara Klopfenstein? She was hired to be a receptionist/data entry clerk. After working for a few weeks, her (male) bosses asked her to get their coffee for them. She declined, and her manager e-mailed her, saying: “This is not open for debate. Please don’t make an easy task a big deal.” Klopfenstein...
